Social Media Lean Canvas

Social Media Lean Canvas

We know social media has huge potential in the world of marketing. It can help you to reach a large number of people, and it can be a powerful tool for building relationships with your customers. It can also be a valuable way to get customer feedback and help you gather insights about your business. It can also be overwhelming or cause content fatigue as you run out of things to say.?

A social media lean canvas is an online tool that makes it easy for you to plan your social media strategy. You can use this tool to gather your thoughts, goals and intentions on social media on one page and track your tactics against your strategy over time. You can also use this tool to share your plans with colleagues and other stakeholders, which will help them understand how you plan to use Social Media in the future. Planning is vital when it comes to social media as I am always working on planned content that, more often than not, is designed to be spontaneous. Knowing and understanding a brand's intentions, goals and objectives make it super easy to plan all the angles, outcomes and variations that come with strong social media. From goals to your tactical plan. When working with clients at TAG, I always like to start with a plan, and over the years, using the lean canvas method to capture the information needed to execute well is fundamental in the process. Combine this with interviewing the client, their team and most importantly, their customer. Builds a great platform to launch or improve a brand's social media and overall communication with their customers.

Planning and outlining your goals will also help fight against content fatigue. Working through the lean canvas will also help to simplify the messaging, enabling a more efficient way to produce content. Once I’ve worked through the lean canvas I look at the most appropriate social media channel based on the details like the ideal client, goals and frequency of content in relation to the client's practical ability to afford or produce content.?

Over the coming weeks, I’ll share details about “planned spontaneity” and what this looks like for content production. In the meantime below is the lean canvas that I have adapted for social media.
