New Brand Safety & Suitability Partners on TikTok: TikTok will provide third-party data on ads placement and performance to reassure ad partners that their ads don’t appear alongside potentially offensive material.
New Audio Options for Brands on TikTok: TikTok wants to help businesses incorporate audio into their content, so they’ve launched a new collection of audio elements that brands can use for free.
Brands and marketers will be able to find the music on the Commercial Music Library, which will be free of use for organic and paid content, as all sounds are pre-cleared for commercial use.
New Usage Limits & Parental Controls on TikTok: TikTok has added a 60-minute daily screen time limit for all users below 18. They’re also updating their screen time limits for all users, so they can set variable time limits for each day of the week and set a schedule to mute notifications.
TESTING - Video Trimmer for Instagram Stories: Instagram is working on a new feature allowing users to trim their clips before sharing them as a Story. By the looks of it, it would look like the Reels editor.
TESTING - Meta Verified Section on Instagram: Last week, we mentioned that Meta was launching paid verified badges for Instagram and Facebook. This week, they announced they’re testing a new shortcut for the Meta Verified section within the app menu.
Culture Rising Meta Report: Meta has published a report highlighting key emerging trends based on an analysis of conversations across Facebook & Instagram. The report includes 20 trends to watch in 2023.
New Insights on Meta's Advantage+: Meta has shared new data on the value of its latest AI feature for ads, Advantage+, which uses machine learning to build more effective targeting systems. On top of that, Mark Zuckerberg recently said on his Instagram account that Meta will create a new product group to focus on AI features to improve users' experience on their platforms.
Snapchat Jumps Into AI: Snapchat has announced that they’ll introduce a new element called ‘My AI’ for Snapchat+ subscribers, integrating ChatGPT into the platform. With this new feature, users will be able to get AI-generated responses to their queries.
