Social Media is Giving News the Boot

Social media platforms are starting to filter out the amount of news sharing. Meta has made many statements saying their new Threads app will not push news articles unless you opt-in to receive those notifications.
They have also removed the tools for news publishers on their platform. Following this trend, Google will be looking to remove the news tab in their search results.
X, on the other hand, has had their share of challenges with the media. This has caused the sharing of news to be a bit chaotic on the platform.
With all this happening, journalists and news publishers are left scratching their heads about what the next step will be. If X, Meta, and Google remove or put restrictions on publishers, how will they continue to grow their traffic?
The hero of this story may be right in front of our faces: LinkedIn.
You may think of LinkedIn as just a platform for job seekers and professionals. With the new additions of articles and newsletters, you may be surprised to learn that many users do receive their news from LinkedIn.
It also comes as no surprise that users on LinkedIn are friendlier than on other platforms. I mean, the last thing you want your boss or potential client to see is you arguing in the comments on LinkedIn, right?
Overall, I believe LinkedIn is a better place for news sharing than platforms like X or Meta. What are your thoughts? Let us know and continue this conversation on X (the irony).
