How could one of the best things ever created enjoyed by not just me, but billions of people, NOT have it's own holiday? A global one at that.
So I'm totally bias because I'm all about the social media life, but take some time to celebrate the online phenomenon that has given the world a whole new way to communicate and socialize.
Mashable, a multi-platform media and entertainment company launched Social Media Day on June 30th in 2010. According to the holiday's founders,
" Social Media Day is a way to recognize and celebrate social media's impact on global communication."
People from all over the world celebrate social media on June 30th with selfie sticks, meet-ups, webinars, happy-hours and more!
