Facebook is promoting the use of hashtags on the platform with a new composer window prompt - but to what end?
The platform has also released a limited version of a new gaming app on iOS because of Apple's regulations and, Facebook has also added a new sponsored posts option for groups. Another groups feature that has been released by Facebook is a new post-level analytics option which will provide more context as to how users are engaging with group updates.
Facebook has also announced a new group to develop its in-app payment options which have faced a lot of regulatory concerns from multiple countries.
Along with many other platforms, Facebook has launched information around US elections with a voting information center. In an additional move to combat hate speech the platform has published updates on content removals, fake accounts, hate speech and more.
Further, Facebook has removed a range of ad targeting options that have seen low usage.
