Social Media is a but like your local pub

And finally...

Picture yourself standing at the bar, enjoying a drink by yourself, ok this might not be something you would do but bear with me.

Next to you, there is someone else on their own, buying their own drink. Before long you make eye contact realise that you are both on your own and start a conversation, initially about casual topics or shared interests.

As the conversation flows, you find you have lots in common and know the same people. Thirty minutes later, you're both laughing, exchanging stories, and feel like you’ve known each forever. The initial awkwardness fades, replaced by a genuine connection.

Before long, you're buying each other drinks, extending the evening, and even planning your next meetup.

Just like this interaction at the pub, your social media is an opportunity to connect, engage, and build relationships with new people. It starts with a simple interaction but can lead to something amazing, more clients, more sales but most of all trust and credibility.

Don’t just buy someone a drink and expect them to buy from you, build those relationships rather than looking at people as your next sale.
