What does the word Protest mean to you?
To me, It is a demonstration of your feelings of injustice. It is protected by the 2nd amendment. It is your right to make a sign, chant, song.
It is NOT within your rights to DESTROY Property, Loot, Riot and create mayhem.
Why are you rioting instead of Protesting?

This article talks about the celebration of the end of slavery and the making of Juneteenth. I have no problem with the celebration of the end of slavery. To enslave a person is to kidnap them from their life and take away their free will. To enslave a person is to exert your will and mistreatment over them. Have we ended slavery? Truly?
What is History?
History is the telling of events from one perspective or another that allows us to understand what may have happened during a time period from at least one point of view. There is ALWAYS bias in history. Who told the story is where the bias came from. Similar to the game telephone, that history can be distorted over time based on the story tellers bias. But what happens when we try to erase that history?
For one, Destruction of property. In some states, people believe it is their right to collapse and tear down or vandalize property. ART. Because that statue, whether you like it or not, is art.

As Americans, do we stop teaching about the Presidents because some were slave owners? Do we stop teaching constitutional Law, because the Authors were slave owners? Do we throw out the document because it does not fall in line with Anti-slave language and teaching?
Other countries say you can’t learn without knowledge of the past. They refuse to re-write history in order to create a new Equality. How does that make you feel?
What do you feel is appropriate in a Protest? What do you think constitutes Riots?
How do we change allowing ourselves to be bought by groups trying to create unrest?
