We only have two free bursary tickets left for social enterprises to attend our conference 'Beyond Better Business' in a couple weeks in Manchester. Priority will be given to organisations which hold any of our accreditations however other social enterprises can apply. These tickets are on a first come first serve basis.

This year our 'Beyond Better Business' annual conference?will be held at?Manchester Metropolitan University?where we will be looking at the future of business and how alternative economic models, which prioritise the well-being of people and the planet over private gain, can enable businesses to make a real difference to the communities in which they are based.?

10:00am - Registration/ networking with refreshments.

10:30am - Welcome/introduction from Social Enterprise Mark CIC and sponsors.

10:45am - Facilitated networking.

11:30am - What is the new future of business and how do we get there - roundtable discussion/debate, chaired by Kate Welch of Social Enterprise Acumen, looking at the future of business. Panelists - Erinch Sahan of Doughnut Economics Action Lab, Charlotte Timson of Transform Trade, Martin Lawson of Resonance, Michael Weatherhead of Wellbeing Economy Alliance and Lucy Findlay MBE of Social Enterprise Mark CIC.

12:15pm - Lunch and networking.

1:15pm - The role of place-based businesses and their importance to local communities - panel session, chaired by Peter Ptashko of Cambio, looking at how local businesses can support their local communities. Panelists - Chris Cowcher of Plunkett Foundation, Matt Richardson of The Growth Company, Nicci Dickens of Profit for Purpose, and Nickala Torkington of Flourish Together.

2:15pm - Keynote address by Nicole Ryan, founder of Alex's Adventure; a social enterprise in Cork, Ireland which educates students about the real life impacts of substance misuse.

3:00pm - Plenary and close.
