Social Distancing is the new -Q

 It is necessary and paramount to contain the COVID-19 pandemic globally and this can be effectively implemented by Social Distancing at work place, eating joints, Smoking zones, retail collection counters, entry of Malls, Cinema halls, railway stations, bus stations, airport entry and hospitals itself.

This is required to be strictly implemented and enforced as there is absence of a vaccine or effective treatment as of now. Social distancing is the new normal and it has to be operational and is required to be sustained for long time  as spread of Covid -19 already has catastrophic burden on the healthcare system.

The present model of one-time social distancing effort of the type as currently employed in most parts of the country may not stop transmission of the virus. If treatments are developed that can prevent Covid-19 patients from progressing to severe disease or if a vaccine is developed, movement restrictions could be relaxed. We all have to even required to think of Social distancing during Air/ bus / train travel and this may have to be followed in true letter and spirit till 2021/ 2022 and business houses are also required to dovetail this as a Guiding factor for their Business Strategy.
