Social distancing doesn’t have to stop fundraising

Hannah, one of Stand Against Violences’ (SAV) own teachers who also owns a health and wellbeing business, got creative in lockdown, and organised a virtual fundraising event. She, and other online attendees, welcomed in the summer solstice with 108 continuous sun salutations, with friends, family and other supporters donating to SAV for their efforts. The event raised a fantastic ￡236.  

In a time when people are even more vulnerable to the effects of violence, with people having no escape from abusers at home and young people more likely to be groomed online, it is vital that charities such as SAV make it through this uncertain time to mitigate these impacts of COVID-19 and keep people safe.  

Small to medium charities are being hugely affected in the current climate. SAV’s work is vital in the recovery stages of this pandemic, and SAV are therefore grateful for any support that people can give.
