I was inspired by a video that Gary Vaynerchuk produced a couple of years ago. He was talking about the importance of Social and how B2B companies still do not get that creating content on social and creating ads for them is all so important. I would agree, from my expertise B2B companies do not understand that producing articles, video’s and content in general on Facebook, LinkedIn, Snap Chat, Instagram, branded community and other social media outlets is all so important. When you ask the business to spend 100’s (or more) dollars in ads to reach their audience on social platforms then generally is out of the question. The number one place in this market is Facebook ads. Has your company produced a Facebook ad that has good rich content that your readers want to read? Have you spent any of your budget on social to see if this is true? A lot of the old school B2B companies have not. We live in the world of headline readers with lots of opinions, and few practitioners. Remember this, Content is king. For example, to get started, companies can get employees, that are experts, to write an article within the business they are in, create a blog, post in on Facebook, create a well crafted ad around it, use Facebook's demographics and segmentation tool to segment your audience, then push go. Social and digital marketing is key to the B2B space today. The quicker that you understand that you are a “media” company the better off you will be. This brings your customers value. Do you plan on increasing your social media advertising budget? If not, you need to, and soon!
