"What is the most potent key driver of your experience? Why is it the most potent? It's because it's invisible in your daily life, yet it's driving your life, and it's hard to control because, like a fish in water, you are always bathing in it. Let's jump in. But before we go deeper, I want to make sure you watched the first video on the first key driver, which was self-projection. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend you do so. Now, let's return to our original topic.
Why is social conformity one of the most potent, powerful key drivers of your experience? It's because it's invisible. Yes, social conformity is an invisible driver, meaning it's everywhere and permeates almost all aspects of your life. That's what makes it hard to discern, like a fish in water. Unless we elevate our vantage points, we can spend our lives unaware of this driver. That's what makes it the most potent.
So, let's understand what it is first. The main reason it's hard to be aware of social conformity is that human beings are social creatures. In order to survive and thrive, we need social groups and gatherings. Back in the days of cavemen and cave women, uniting as a species was crucial for survival against larger predators. Gathering in groups naturally leads to the formation of social norms to maintain group cohesion.

However, here's the key discernment: while social norms are necessary for the survival and flourishing of a group, social conformity isn't necessarily beneficial to all involved. For instance, peer pressure from gangs can lead individuals to engage in harmful behaviors. Similarly, societal pressures to conform to certain lifestyles or possessions, like keeping up with the Joneses, can be detrimental to personal well-being.
To distinguish between social norms and social conformity, ask yourself: "What am I supposed to adhere to, does it benefit my higher self and the group as a whole?" If it doesn't benefit all involved, it's likely social conformity rather than social norm.
Your freedom to choose and excel lies within this gap between social norms and social conformity. For example, societal expectations to follow a certain life script can create tension when deviating from it. By asking the performance edge question and aligning your decisions with your higher self, you regain control.
In conclusion, social conformity is one of the most powerful key drivers of your life experience because it's pervasive and often goes unnoticed. By discerning between social norms and social conformity, you reclaim your power to make choices that align with your true self.
