For a client in the Governmental sector in Antwerp, I am looking for a freelance Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst for a long-term position.

This opportunity offers 2 days of remote working per week.

?

The main responsibilities:

?

? You will be responsible for monitoring security alerts and incidents, ensuring proper response and escalation. ? You will analyze security events to identify potential threats, investigate root causes, and assist with remediation. ? You will work closely with Level 1 analysts and cybersecurity experts to address more complex incidents. ? You will participate in incident response activities, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation of incidents. ? You will assist in maintaining security tools and infrastructure, including SIEM systems and other monitoring platforms. ? You will provide input to enhance security processes and tools.

Skills required:

?

? 2+ years of experience as a SOC Analyst or in a similar cybersecurity role. ? Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, etc.) and incident management platforms. ? Good understanding of security principles, networking, and protocols. ? Familiarity with malware analysis and vulnerability management. ? Experience with threat detection, analysis, and mitigation. ? Fluent in English (Dutch or French is a plus).
