Introduction
In today's "People Skills" newsletter, we're breaking new ground by giving you a page-by-page run-through of a quiz on Leadership Skills from The Soft Skills Quiz (thesoftskillsquiz.com).
As those of you who regularly use The Soft Skills Quiz know, there are thousands of different quizzes that can be created on this site, meaning that you need never have the same quiz twice.
The demo that we're using has just 10 quiz questions so that you can get a feel for how the quizzes work.
We still like to while away the odd 15 minutes on a new quiz. It's a great way to relax while learning something new.
So, here's our demo...
01. The Starting Point for Your Quiz
We start our Leadership Skills quiz demo on "The Soft Skills Quiz" home page at https://thesoftskillsquiz.com/. Simply click "Take a Quiz Now" to start a new quiz.
02. Decide the Settings for Your Quiz
You are now on the Quiz Settings page. To decide the quiz settings, complete the following:
1. how many questions you want in your quiz, which in the demo is 10
2. which categories and quiz types you want to test yourself on, which in the demo is Leadership Skills and all quiz types
3. how much play money to play for, which is £200.
When ready, click "Accept all settings".
03. Review or Change Your Quiz Settings
You can now review what category or categories you've chosen and the types of questions in your quiz. If you're happy, you can click the link to the first question. If not, simply choose new settings.
04. Question 01: People Builders - Flash Cards
Accepting your settings takes you to the first quiz page. On this page, you can see on the menu that you are on Question 1 with 9 questions left. Your % score is 0% and your actual score is 0.
You can now read and follow the instructions and answer the first question.
05. Question 02: The Credibility of Leaders - True or False
On the second quiz page, you can see on the menu that you are on Question 2 with 8 questions left. Your % score is 100% and your actual score is 1/1.
You can now read and follow the instructions and answer the second question.
06. Question 03: Leadership Skills - True or False
On the third quiz page, you can see on the menu that you are on Question 3 with 7 questions left. Your % score is 100% and your actual score is 2/2.
You can now read and follow the instructions and answer the third question.
In our demo, you score Incorrect, as shown by a red-coloured answer box.
07. Question 04: Leadership Skills - Definitely Definitions
On the fourth quiz page, you can see on the menu that you are on Question 4 with 6 questions left. Your % score is 67% and your actual score is 2/3.
You can now read and follow the instructions and answer the fourth question.
08. Question 05: People Builders - Six of the Best
On the fifth quiz page, you can see on the menu that you are on Question 5 with 5 questions left. Your % score is 75% and your actual score is 3/4.
You can now read and follow the instructions and answer the fifth question.

09. Question 06: Leaders of the Future - Multiple Choice
On the sixth quiz page, you can see on the menu that you are on Question 6 with 4 questions left. Your % score is 80% and your actual score is 4/5.
You can now read and follow the instructions and answer the sixth question.
10. Question 07: Leadership Skills - Either Or
On the seventh quiz page, you can see on the menu that you are on Question 7 with 3 questions left. Your % score is 83% and your actual score is 5/6.
You can now read and follow the instructions and answer the seventh question.
11. Question 08: Stages of Change - Sequences
On the eighth quiz page, you can see on the menu that you are on Question 8 with 2 questions left. Your % score is 71% and your actual score is 5/7.
You can now read and follow the instructions and answer the eighth question.
12. Question 09: Organisational Culture - Flash Cards
On the ninth quiz page, you can see on the menu that you are on Question 9 with 1 question left. Your % score is 63% and your actual score is 5/8.
You can now read and follow the instructions and answer the ninth question.
13. Question 10: Leadership Skills - Matching Items
On the tenth quiz page, you can see on the menu that you are on Question 10 with 0 questions left. Your % score is 67% and your actual score is 6/9.
You can now read and follow the instructions and answer the tenth question.
In our demo, you score Correct. As this is the last question, the menu updates to show that you are on Question 10 with 0 questions left. Your score is 70% and your actual score is 7/10.
14. Your Quiz Score
At the end of your quiz, you can go to the Scoreboard where you will see your final score along with all the questions which you have answered. You can now review how well you did or have another go.
