So, yeah… I did the unthinkable
I traded in my Canon R1, my beloved EOS R, and all my Sigma lenses (RIP to that investment) for a Sigma FP-L. Why? Because apparently, I like making my life complicated. But seriously, I’ve been itching to dip my toes into the medium-format scene, and since I’m not rolling in cash to buy a Phase One (who is?), the Sigma FP-L seemed like the move.
In this video, I’ll walk you through my new gear, from the camera’s insane 61MP resolution and modular design to some annoyances (why are the batteries so tiny?!). I’ll also show you my setup with the 8Sinn cage, Lumix S 50mm f/1.8 lens, and—get this—a battery solution that involves charging the camera while shooting. Because, apparently, I’m now living in the future.
If you’re here for the tea, the gear talk, or just to laugh at my bad decisions, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s talk photography, file sizes the size of Jupiter, and why I hate flip-out screens. (Spoiler: They’re annoying and break.)
Watch now and let me know if you think I’ve lost my mind! ??
