So who is Ceriph?

Chances are you may know one of our founders if you’re reading this. It was 2020 when Neil Griffiths , Ken Kane and Simon Thomas brought together over 60 years of experience in the Talent space to launch a Storytelling business based on Insight and Creativity. Perfect timing to coincide with the Pandemic!

Since then CERIPH has grown - and we have worked with some wonderful people along the way. Which was one of our goals. We wanted to share stories and build deep emotional connections with people. We wanted to connect clients with people who should be part of their story but just didn’t know it yet. We wanted to be brave and bold - and work with people who genuinely valued their reputation as an employer.?

Today, we’re doing all of the above - and so much more. On our travels we pick up some great experiences and useful soundbites. So our aim with The Reputation is to inform, inspire and bring you some ideas to shape your thinking. And in turn enhance your own reputation as well as the brand you're building.

CERIPH - What's in a name?

If you search for definitions and meanings of CERIPH, you’ll see that technically it’s a derivative of Serif, which in turn is most commonly recognised for being a font that allows you to read the written word. In whichever format you choose.

Serif fonts are typefaces that have serifs, which are fine, extra strokes on the ends of their letterform. Serif typefaces evoke feelings of history, tradition, honesty, and integrity – not a bad place to start.

Storytelling to drive change

In a recent Harvard Business Review article, Frances Frei and Anne Morriss stated that up to 70% of organisational change efforts fail. Ceriph agrees that unless the audience is engaged with a compelling story, the desired outcome is unlikely to succeed.

Christmas ads - lover or hater?

Some of this years offers tug at the heartstrings and others leave you reaching for the remote. This from Apple though, it's...well take a look, we love it - product sell meets warm and fuzzy.

On the other hand,? you could prefer to go with Iceland, who this year decided to not produce an ad at all and preferred to pass on the savings to customers.?

Not so good...

Ho Ho No for Christmas?parties?

With GenZ drinking over 20% less in their teens and early 20s than millennials, employees are looking for an alternative to the traditional boozy Christmas party. Bookings are up for quirky festive activities such as Christmas cracker making and igloo dining. What will you be doing this year? Or maybe you preferred not to go to a traditional Christmas bash - according to People Management magazine 53% of employees decided to give it a miss. Were you one of them?

We asked ourselves what would we want to receive from a newsletter that’s relevant to the ‘world of work'. An internal filter if you like.
