There has never been a time for any and ALL companies to make the push to becoming fully digital and as frictionless online then now.
With our #Covid19 situation people who would have normally visited banks and written checks are now downloading apps and getting more and more knowledgeable and acclimated to how to become truly self servicing.
The wiser will lean into this transformation, eliminating the common practice of F2F interactions to doing all or most online at their leisure 24/7/7. Brick and Mortar walk -ins no longer need to be considered.
The opportunity for SMBs and Enterprises companies to pursue such need to do so with caution. First and foremost your firm's need to find and retain the talent that has done this work before with a successful track record. Currently CMO’s are on the hook for ROI and the bottomline with the Sales organization. Do you remember the line? One for all and all for One.
Second there are hundreds if not thousands of vendors with different platforms that handle and send email, that help with marketing orchestration, that show the analytics of website visiting traffic. These are deep and wide waters to navigate because what may work for some will not work for many. (Investigate the vendors you plan to work with fully)
For all of the retail companies that did not continue to invest in their online campaigns and sales capabilities before this 3+ month of store closures began it will be the death of many in their attempt to comeback. Employees have been let go and will be starting new career paths or businesses or seeking employment elsewhere.
