'So, what do you do'?

'So, what do you do'

It’s the kind of question that people probably shouldn’t ask me at social gatherings. I get over excited. Get me talking women’s health, perimenopause and pelvic floors and you may not get away quickly.

I’m a women’s health and fitness coach.

Which could mean many things.

For me, this means I help women in their 40s with their health, hormones and fitness.

Much of what I do is outside, and is something that I would want to provide if I didn’t already do it. I’ve spent 5 years learning all I can about women’s health, nutrition, exercise and movement. I intend to empower women to understand more about their own health and hormones so that they can take action on a daily basis to feel good from the inside out.

Mine is a body positive, holistic approach. Blending science with your own intuition and awareness. Because what works for me may not work for you. I don’t believe in magic pills. I believe in 4 main pillars of health - managing movement, nutrition, sleep and stress management. And in identifying your drivers, and working with your cycles - daily, menstrual and annual, as well as working with your body to take the negativity out of ageing.

(And if there was a magic pill, I am 100% convinced that it would have the same benefits as spending more time outside with trees).

What does this mean I actually do?

I offer one to one coaching that is a blend of personal training and health coaching. I support you to change your mind about fitness being hard, and exercise being boring. You make changes because YOU want to, not because I tell you to. Because THAT is what lasts. I offer this online and in person.

I offer health coaching with a specific focus on your menstrual cycles and perimenopause. Online group coaching and 1:1. Knowing your cycles, means knowing yourself and can be a helpful indicator of your health.

I run outdoor fitness sessions that are supportive, inclusive and fun. I intend to get you stronger and fitter, but it a way that means you keep coming back, and that connects you with your own body and posture just a little better.

I get small groups of women up and running, even if they don’t think they want to do it.

Why do I do this?

Because life should be about living ON PURPOSE.

Because I am generally cross with how disempowered we are as women when it comes to our health and fitness. So many women have had such negative experiences with their GP, with personal trainers, with the messages received in the media about what they should and shouldn’t do. I want to help them change that.

Because I don’t want their daughters to live like that. And most definitely not my own. All that I learn benefits me, my clients, but it also benefits my daughter, and will benefit her daughters. Because she will have the power to understand herself, mind and body in a different way, which gives her the power to say YES and NO when she needs to when it comes to her body, her health and her life choices. It's her right to live a Wildly Well life.

This is about the legacy I leave her, and the legacy my clients leave their daughters too.
