So Sheila, Nikki and Sonia went and had a nice video short made without us (the organising committee) knowing – good work!
Having seen it for the first time last week during our planning meeting, it reminded me just what a fantastic event DDL27 was…

It was great to see inhaler technology with true intelligence on the rise. We see huge potential for smart inhalers and apps to actively encourage correct use and provide real benefit for patients, rather than just monitoring success or failure. Similarly, using spirometers linked to inhalers brings us one step closer to integrated diagnostics and genuinely convergent devices. Of course the question remains, how will these advances be paid for, with fixed price expectations in the market? What is clear is that the development of low cost electronics and connectivity will dramatically impact the commercialisation of some of these great new ideas.
I’m sure there will be much more in this exciting area to discuss at DDL2017, and in the meantime, here at PA, we’ll be working on something that’s even more fun than The Inspiraton. Hope to see you all in December...
The event was really great, and I really enjoyed the Inspiration contest.
