So long, Farewell!

Few days ago, it was my last day at 100X. I dislike change and face difficulty in letting go of things. After spending 2 years at this place which literally felt like home, I am sure it is going to be difficult to let it go.

What did I love the most about my job? It did not feel like a job! I loved coming here every day. It’s always the culture that makes the difference! Being the youngest one there, it always felt like I was being taken care of, by all of them.

I’m someone who loves being busy and this seemed to be the perfect place! At 100X, we believed in pace. We moved super-fast, and always kept ourselves busy.

Every Team member has been super welcoming, friendly and has helped me grow.?

Sanjay Mehta - Just listening to his questions, remarks, quick thoughts taught me a lot. It is amazing how he manages his social media and posts regularly and works relentlessly. His dedication to make 100X big, coming up with new ideas all the time, is infectious.

Ninad Karpe – He is the one always asking out of the box questions on the lunch table, and otherwise, which really makes you think harder. His witty comments and fun conversations are something I’ll miss.

Yagnesh Sanghrajka - I have probably spent most of my time at 100X working closely with him. I never thought a boss could be like a friend to you! Thank you for always helping me out, explaining things patiently, letting go my mistakes and treating me like family. There have been new learning’s every day, be it financials, legal or just how to deal with people and say No sometimes!

Shashank Randev - He has been the toughest with me and pushed me to do things I think I could not. Such a perfect planner! His attitude of cutting to the chase always, leading to faster turnarounds is something I have learnt.

Vatsal Kanakiya - Every conversation with him teaches you multiple new things. Super smart, dedicated and friendly!

Utpal Doshi – He’s always open to discuss the latest trends over a cup of Tea!?

Not just the Partners, but Shobana Prakash and Prerna Sangoi have always been a huge support.

100X has 6 month analyst trainee programmes of which I was a part as well! I’ve seen almost 5 batches come and go during my time here and the love, respect and teamwork we’ve all had on the table has been nothing less of a journey! From startup ecosystem talks to discussing favourite portfolio companies to personal gossip. I always made it a point to share the knowledge I have with the intern team to help them grow as well. Not everyone can be a part of each task and hence we made sure to discuss different aspects of work together so everyone shares their inputs and learns from one another.

Team and Culture is what was valued here ??

Being the first employee, I got an early chance to attend/speak at several events in different cities, which did not just boost my confidence but introduced me to a whole new bunch of people from the investor community of which many are friends today.?

Lastly, my favourite part was spending time with the Portfolio companies! Leaving 100X does not mean leaving a 15–20 member team, but a 105+ Portfolio companies as well. Most of them have become friends to me, and I know everyone is a call away! That is the network that 100X is building for early-stage Indian startups. I have immense respect for all the founders working super hard to build the future of India!?

Just like 100X believes in the Indian startup ecosystem, I do too! While I am sad to leave, I am eagerly waiting to explore what’s next for me in the VC ecosystem!
