So grateful..."I almost didn’t make it"

Have you ever been in a space where you've said,

“God- I’m so grateful!”

This is what I felt every day as I hosted our "RISE" Retreat in Ghana (March 25th-April 1st).

Yes Sis, we went to the motherland…AFRICA!

Why am I so grateful?

Well, on February 6th, I turned 38 years young... and I almost didn’t make it.

The week prior to my birthday, I considered taking my own life.

If you didn’t know, I live with Bipolar Disorder and also manage Anxiety & PTSD due to childhood trauma.

And about a year ago (February 2021), I was newly diagnosed with another mood condition-Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD).

…Which was only diagnosed after I advocated for myself.?

I knew something was wrong beyond my preexisting conditions because for the previous 10 months, I suffered every two weeks with debilitating lows to the point where I couldn’t work.

Thankfully, even with all that going on, I hit over six figures in revenue in 2020.

Here’s the truth: The only reason I excelled despite my personal struggles is I followed a consistent marketing & sales plan.

(And I’ve used this same planning strategy for the past 7 years to generate consistent revenue, even when dealing with life’s hiccups.)

Back to “God, I’m so Grateful”…

So I could show up well for our retreat, I enrolled in an intensive therapy program where I learned that my PMDD required an increased level of treatment.

This remaining imbalance is likely what led to that low point for me.

As a result, I was able to get the additional medical support I required.?

And in Ghana, I was able to give my best (which changed from day to day- #KeepingItReal).
