So Close, Yet So Far Away

?Do you know what tops the list of any freelance writer’s nightmare?

Not being able to land the right client!

That feeling or state can be so frightening not even Freddy Krueger on Elm Street comes close.

It’s more frustrating when you’ve bills piling up, and it doesn’t look like luck is about to locate you anytime soon.

If you’ve rendered any form of digital service before, you most likely can relate to it as it is impossible not to have experienced it.

How long is it likely to last? No one knows!

However, you can retrace your footprints to find out what you may have been doing wrongly.

  1. Could it be that your manner of approach when pitching your service is faulty?
  2. Do you have enough content to serve as your digital signature of your skills on your profile that the client can peruse?
  3. What if your copies or content aren’t persuasive enough to attract the kind of clients you want?

If you happen to fall in one of these brackets, then you might want to strategize and reposition yourself.

These three tips could set you on a part to changing your narrative:

  1. Rather than present yourself as a salesman who is only about landing that gig so you can get paid, position yourself as an expert at what you do who cares about the client’s needs and wants to help them add value.
  2. Make your LinkedIn profile be both your CV and portfolio. Just wearing the headline “Copywriter,” or “Content writer” won’t save the day nor attract clients your way.

Show it in your profile by strategically content marketing yourself, showing why you are the go-to person.

3. Your content is your ticket to attract clients. Thus, you have to make every one of them count. Improve your persuasion skills and polish your spelling and diction using Grammarly, AnswerSocrates, Quora, or even Medium. The options are endless.

The possible cause of delay may not have been among these covered, but the sooner you realize it and fix it, the sooner you are likely to end that drought.?
