“And so this is Christmas” . This cozy and omnipresent song by John Lennon always caught my attention in its beginning: "and what have you done?". The old anguish amalgamated with the guilt of imagining not having done everything in my power.

Don’t know if it would be possible to quantify but I do understand it’s possible to feel, it is possible to dream, and concretize from gradual behavioral changes to which we propose ourselves. It is not what we’ve imagined of our life that counts, but what we can do in our daily routine with the surprises that life presents to us. If not all happens as expected, on the other hand, we do not live setbacks only.

May the "Guy from above" give us wisdom and enough health to enjoy here and now. There is no better time than today, we will never be so fully prepared as we would like and will not get younger, that's for sure. It's time to show again that open sweet, genuine and candid smile we remember having given back in our childhood. No filters attached. It's time to be flooded by unpredictable emotions like the ones from our youth in which the sky seemed to be the limit and time seemed to be endless.

Talking about that, at this time of the year one very special reflection remains inevitable and indelible: we cannot change what’s in our past but definitely can interfere with what is yet to come on our horizon. May our influence in the future be fruitful, although imperfect and limited. And that the new year that unfolds be commensurate with the effort we made. And by doing so, as the beautiful song also suggests: “I hope you have fun, let's hope it's a good one, without any fear".
