So Amazing When We Behave Naturally ...

So Simple. So Brilliant.

At the end of an intense 2 day show at Excel London , when everyone was running off to eat or catch a plane - look what these clever people were doing. I said to them, "So this is where the party is!" and got their permission to capture the beautiful moment. The power of connection. There's really nothing like it in the world. (I assumed they were drinking beer or alcohol but just realized that some of those are coke cans. Chocolate & coke - now it all makes sense :)

When you go out of your everyday environment, it’s actually a bit of a shock. But it's an opportunity to behave in a more natural manner. To step away from your regular routine.?

We don’t need anything external - such as entertainment - to get that spark going, because everything happens between us.?

That's why I really enjoyed taking part in a UK convention this week - mainly because of the great vibe everywhere. It was amazing to see people smiling and sharing knowledge. You can see how people have a spark for life - they love to laugh, be with each other, and feed off each other. Not to mention how great it is to meet so many new people with new perspectives. It’s like a breath of fresh air.?

So at the end of the show I came across these nice people so thrilled to be together in the most simple way - nothing fancy, no award ceremonies. Just some really high level executives kicking back together and enjoying a good laugh. This is such a good demonstration of what I’m always talking about. We don’t need anything external - such as entertainment - to get that spark going, because everything happens between us.?

This after-show "event" I happened to come across really encapsulates the entire essence of the transition. And it shows that we can do this anywhere - how it’s totally possible. Now we need to think about how to create that same vibe in our natural environment, meaning wherever we work.

We can create those same conditions with colleagues or friends. We actually don’t need anything. It’s all really only a matter of shifting our attitude.?

Why I’m Sharing This?

All the pressures leaders are feeling with their teams come from the same lack of connection. Once managers learn how to create this type of connection between everyone on their team, they can literally go sit on their yacht without a worry in the world. That type of energy moves mountains. It doesn’t require any incentives to get into gear.?This superior energy is expressed in everything around the group and it’s a game changer.

Leaders are so concerned about the climate and the energy crisis. And Biden is even contemplating blocking the sun’s rays to slow global warming (you can’t make this stuff up).? Believe it or not - making social cohesion a priority is the only solution to our growing challenges. Leveraging the power of connection can make all our problems go away.?

Everything is the result of humans. Because we're the highest being in emotional intellectual existence. So all attempts to find a solution outside of us are doomed to failure.?

We are the part that impacts reality the most. When we rise, all of reality rises with us. When we go down all of reality goes down with us, and that’s what we’re seeing all around us at the moment.

Creating this environment starts with a leader. So if there is not the environment of trust and safety and behaving naturally, the first observation I make is about the leader and the leadership group. How do they behave? What standards do they project with their behavior? And obviously, the same question goes to me as a leader too.

Great reminder Josia. Yesterday I was talking with a friend that HATES returning to the office because people have forgot how to CONNECT. Simply saying 'hi' can go a long way. Hi Josia!
