A beautiful snowdrop

Pure and white

On full display

Also known as a snow bell as Winter makes his way

Gathering light -from the waking suns warming rays

As it welcomes the new born day

Standing out from his flower bed tilting it’s pretty head

Directed & basking in the light

Surrounded by a blanket of snow

A magical sight to behold

Capturing the attention of a passerby

Who has secrets left untold

Stopping to admire the pretty bloom

Picking it right out from within it’s bed & taking it away

Now captured and placed into a book

To mark the reading page

Pressed, dried and here to stay

Memories from yesterday

The Snowdrops tears now flow away

Admired now -by the readers eyes

A fleeting moment once cherished & prized

Now stored away & realised x
