SNOWBALLS TO 2020!
Dear Friends of YOURgb,
WHERE to start? What. A. Year!!
I think each and everyone of us should stand up and take a bow - because if we are still here, reading this article - then you made it, we made it, and well done us - all of us.
No doubt, like us, a few of you may be feeling a little shocked by 2020, whether personally or professionally - we have all been tested in one way or another. For YOURgb, 2020 was our year of being brave, taking great gigantic leaps of faith, supporting clients, supporting each other, and carving our way into the online events arena with great gouging thwacks and a stealy, unwavering, determined focus.
For that, I'd just like to take this moment to say a huge and watery eyed thank you to my incredible team - because a business doesn't pivot, it's people do - and boy oh boy did we pivot. I am so utterly thankful to each of them for their energy, creativity, commitment and care - I am so proud of them, and so lucky to have them.
A business doesn't pivot, it's people do.
In the thick of lockdown we delivered 8 online events from our homes, and have since produced in-studio live-stream broadcast events, with interactive breakout sessions, for audiences ranging from 400 to 4,000 for over 15 corporate companies and brands. We have organised COVID safe film shoots, created nationwide PR campaigns, written full scripts for virtual events, pantomimes and fundraisers, built online auctions and designed and constructed mobile bars.
We've worked with event hosts including Denise Van Outen, Gaby Roslin and Amanda Byram and have secured talent including David Tennant, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Adam Hills, Nadine Coyle, Chris Kamara, Callum Beattie and Basil Brush...
COVID-19 has had a cataclysmic impact on the events industry - and my love goes out to all our friends in the business - the camaraderie and support we have shown each other has been wonderful - and I think I can speak for the vast majority of us when I say ROLL ON 2021!

Lastly - a note to our clients. Thank you for your kindness and unwavering support and for trusting our re-imagined visions for your events! We are so lucky to work with so many amazing people, and we can't wait to see you all (hopefully in person) at some point in 2021!

Team YOURgb is taking a bit of an extended break this year; we are closing the office at 17:30 on Friday 18th December, and will be returning to our desks bright and early on Tuesday the 5th January.
