Snow Insurance
With the winter months unfortunately upon us (in the north east especially) I wanted to quickly touch on an interesting solution called Snow Insurance. This solution is great for commercial property owners and managers as it protects from financial risks associated with removing excess amounts of snow.
How it works:
The insurance is based on Snowfall and the policy can be set up by per inch or per storm.
Per Inch compensates for any additional accumulation that falls above a selected deductible number of inches during the period selected (policy period).
Per Storm compensates for any additional snowstorms that occur above a selected deductible of snow storms during the period selected and you also select the number of inches that defines a storm.
