2. Bringing 'Clue' from screen to stage with Georgia native James Taylor Odom?
?? From a young age, James Taylor Odom shared a love for film, particularly the movie “Clue,” with his father. Now, he’s getting the chance to bring that love to the Fox Theatre.?
Odom is in the cast of “Clue,” the stage adaptation of the 1985 film based on the classic board game that’s headed to the Fox from Jan. 28-Feb. 2. Odom covers numerous male roles in the show from Wadsworth, to Mr. Green, to Professor Plum.
Odom grew up in Lawrenceville, and his love for “Clue” and other films and art forms was fostered by his late father. During the Feb. 1 matinee, he’ll be stepping into the shoes of Wadsworth, the butler played by Tim Curry in the 1985 movie.?
3. Georgia works to contain spread of bird flu from commercial poultry farm
?? Georgia’s $7.75?billion commercial poultry industry?– one of the largest in the nation – was working Tuesday to keep bird flu from spreading after a case was confirmed at an operation in Elbert County.
The Georgia Department of Agriculture said avian influenza breached the first commercial poultry operation in the state,?confirming the diagnosis late Friday. About 45,000 broiler breeders were on the site and being destroyed.
