Sniper Sales
Do you know your target market?
In sales you don't need a home run every time , as in the movie Moneyball - Brad Pitt clearly states "It's your on base percentage". Find your niche and zero in on that target audience, do not waiver. Just because you have a fortune 500 company in your portfolio of clients doesn't mean anything. What matters is your bottom line profits to sustain the company and the families that depend on that employment. I grew up in "Kodak Town" (better known as Rochester, NY) when they collapsed it shook the entire economy of that city. So many small businesses had only them as an account and failed because Kodak had no vision for the future. The shock waves hit thousands of families.
Write a clear definition of the type of a client that would fit the criteria for making both you and the client successful. Do what you do best and stake your claim. Refine it, tweak it and become number one in that venue and have the confidence you do this best because it's proven. My advice is to constantly create new fresh ways to reach your preferred client and try different approaches until you find what works for you. Take notes, lots of notes on each and every client. If you want their confidence, get to know them personally, they are not just a checkbook. They wake up like you and I every morning and are always open to unique companies that set themselves apart
Take a minute and see how Brad Pitt approaches this. Pay close attention, everything you will see in this video is you fighting for your share of the marketplace.
