Device Vision
Snipe is an advanced platform I've written for sending and receiving any kind of data visually. Effective for medium range communication where traditional network access is ill-suited or QR codes are clumsy or otherwise impractical. Built using the Universal Visual Language open standard being developed at Asmotek for simplified robot vision and improved device management.
If you are interested in getting involved with this project, either through investment or you think you have a possible application idea then let me know and I will certainly consider your ideas for collaboration.
Advantages And Opportunities
- Turns any video or website into a direct data link with your devices for any file type.
- Provides a simple and universal mechanism for autonomous devices to share data and communication without insecure network traffic.
- Easier to implement than limited sets of pre-programmed patterns and the data neutral aspect lets developers focus on the actual content and files your devices need for whatever you need them to do.
- Can form the basis for device updates through self propagating transmission with no risk to outside devices.
- Reduces the potential for "wireless overload" when running several devices by taking important control protocols "off the cloud".
- Elevates device experience by encouraging development of autonomous behaviour as content.
- Fits in well with other pattern recognition protocols a developer may add to a device.
- Allows your devices to remain functional "off the grid" with each other and you.
- Perfect for keeping an "Intranet of Things" self-organized and secure.
- Embedded dataflow in a video can provide interesting opportunities like storing transcripts of voices rather than full audio.
- Enhance security footage with embedded dataflow to reduce risk of tampering and to tag information without extra file management.
- Possible opportunities to improve living standards for some disabled persons by combining with smart glasses such as the Recon Jet and google glass.
