SNEAK PEEK: how to build relationships with mentors online and IRL

Have you ever built a friendship, rapport, or relationship with someone online? I look at my community today and so many of my IRL mentors and friends started as connections, likes, comments, and conversations on social media. But, I do believe there's a threshold to how far digital interactions can take us. The technology that's sprouted up around you is a resource, a tool. Digital hubs like Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn have become our modern day community centers and bulletin boards. They can even be maneuvered as human search engines, crowd-sourcing any quest for information through your network.

Making meaningful connections online is one of the greatest opportunities we have at our disposal today. But how much can something affect the long-term trajectory of your life if you never push past the invisible barrier of the Internet and turn a digital seed into real-life fruit?

On Season 2 of the millennial innovators podcast (coming soon!), learn how to turn your heroes into mentors and, eventually, real life friends as I deconstruct the process of building relationships online with a few of my very own PERSONAL HEROES: Joe Pulizzi, Robert Rose, and Michael Brenner along with a few other good friends and mentors!
