So, February and March! That was crazy! An epic blizzard of keystrokes and a load of new miles on the car... Ojai, Palm Desert, Ojai, Indio, Ojai -- and it's not like things here in Downtown were exactly sleepy either. In addition to the following compendium of essays, reviews, features, and gallery talks (including one that got beamed live from Bergamot right into the heart of Art Basel Hong Kong) we've also been working hard on next month's debut of the M.A.R.S. Festival, with our visual and performance artist roster finalized, and final schedules announced. [Insert intergalactic, stellar, cosmic countdown pun of our choice here.] I'll send a special note about that in a couple of weeks -- but first, the literary! 

For KCET's ARTBOUND, I was thrilled to cover the current Desert X festival peppering the Coachella Valley. Called Land Art at the Edge of the City, the story has terrific photos by Osceola Refetoff and offers a take on the proceedings that looks at how the reality of life in the desert intersects with its epic lore of dreams.
