Bengal Pro T20 League Launched with 8 Franchises
Cricket aficionados, brace yourselves for an electrifying cricketing spectacle as the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has unveiled its latest venture – the Bengal Pro T20 League. Drawing inspiration from the immensely successful Indian Premier League (IPL), this T20 extravaganza is set to redefine domestic cricket in India. With 8 franchises onboard, both men's and women's teams will vie for glory in the inaugural edition scheduled for June.
What makes this league particularly intriguing is its commercial prowess. Each franchise has reportedly invested a staggering ?25 Crores for a 10-year ownership, catapulting the Bengal Pro T20 League to one of the most lucrative domestic cricket tournaments in India, second only to the TNPL.
The league is not just about cricket; it's about entertainment. With plans for broadcast on Jio Cinema and Sports 18 TV channels, fans can expect a thrilling blend of top-tier cricketing action and engaging off-field entertainment.
Uttrakhand Cricket Jumps onto T20 Leagues Bandwagon
Following in the footsteps of the CAB, the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU) has also thrown its hat into the T20 leagues ring. With the announcement of the Uttarakhand Premiere League (UPL), cricket enthusiasts in the state have reason to rejoice. Further culminating in a championship league with the top four teams from both the regional leagues .
