What a year it’s been for Hills Electrical Group!

2024 has truly been a milestone year, filled with remarkable achievements and growth that have taken our company to new heights. From building strong partnerships with new customers to expanding our expertise into electrical maintenance services and AutoStore mechanical builds, this year has been nothing short of transformative.

These accomplishments represent the trust our clients place in us and our commitment to pushing boundaries. Each new venture and every successful project have been a testament to the hard work, innovation, and dedication of our team.

January/February

We kicked off the year by sharpening our focus on areas where we deliver the greatest value to our customers. To match this renewed clarity, we launched a revamped website that showcases what we do, how we operate, and what sets us apart in the industry.

February

In February, we celebrated a significant milestone by successfully delivering the new Magna Vale temperature-controlled warehouse, now the UK’s largest cold storage facility.

March

Our team made waves at Intralogistex, where we boosted our brand’s visibility and connected with industry leaders. This same month, we delivered a cutting-edge AutoStore system for Mayflex, featuring 14 advanced R5 RedLine robots and serving over 17,500 storage locations.

April

With the start of a new financial year, we sharpened our strategic focus and set ambitious goals to propel us toward greater success in the months ahead.

May

May marked a creative turning point as we embraced the Pink Goldfish philosophy, celebrating what makes us unique and incorporating it into our marketing strategies to stand out in a competitive landscape.

June

We secured an exciting new partnership with a mechanical conveyor installer, which led to a major project win at a NEXT distribution centre, further solidifying our reputation for excellence.

July

July was a month of big wins. We secured a significant M&E contract with Cimcorp for a supermarket distribution centre. We successfully completed an AutoStore installation for Cembre, featuring nine advanced R5 RedLine robots serving over 15,072 storage locations. We enhanced operational efficiency and security by introducing a facial recognition system for time tracking across projects.

August

Maintaining our high standards, we renewed both Safe Contractor and Safe PQQ accreditations, reaffirming our commitment to health, safety, and corporate responsibility. We also delivered a new conveyor control system for NEXT, increasing throughput and efficiency at their distribution centre.

September

This month, we secured an AutoStore build contract for Kardex, a new customer, and introduced a groundbreaking RAMS app to streamline the creation of risk assessments and method statements, making them more comprehensive and user-friendly.

October

October was all about leadership and service expansion. We conducted man-management training for our senior team, equipping them to lead more effectively. In addition, we secured an electrical maintenance service contract with Marcegaglia, a leading steel tube manufacturer, and implemented FIIX, a CMMS system, to optimise maintenance processes.

November

We successfully delivered the AutoStore for Kardex, completing the project on time and within budget; a testament to our dedication to excellence.

December

As the year comes to a close, we’ve been wrapping up key projects and laying the groundwork for an even more ambitious 2025. December is also a time to pause, reflect, and express gratitude for a year of incredible achievements.

Looking Ahead to 2025

This year, we took bold steps to expand our capabilities, enhance our efficiency, and strengthen relationships with both new and existing partners. As we close the chapter on 2024, we’re taking a deep breath, giving thanks for all we’ve accomplished, and preparing to build on this momentum in 2025.
