Is Snapchat back?
When is the last time you used Snapchat? When it first came out it was a total hit, but when Instagram introduced stories, a lot of people didn’t see the reason to have Snapchat as well.?
I do remember seeing social evolving with brands at this time - brands like Warby Parker and Taco Bell hired 2 employees to run their Snapchat accounts full time - it was pretty cool to watch. Now in house “faces” for brands are pretty common, and really came back with TikTok as of late.
Anyways, I want to talk about Snapchat today since it’s somewhat resurrecting for brands. A few weeks ago I mentioned how Louis Vuitton had a filter for one of their recent campaigns. If you have put Snapchat at the back of your mind to forget about, it’s ok, I have too. BUT brands are starting to see success on the channel again (mainly through paid options). I wrote a short blog post on using?Snapchat in 2022 for brands, so check that out here. One thing I will say that was mind blowing for me was that 82% of Snapchat users engage with brands on the app.
