Snap chat now accepting CBD ads

I was on SnapChat today and got served this paid ad from Charlotte's Web.
From what I have seen as a consumer, SnapChat is the first major social network to allow CBD to run paid advertising with imagery of the Marijuana plant.
It's inevitable that more and more platforms will open up to this highly lucrative market.
Right now, the only channels available to CBD that I have seen, are outdoor, content marketing (via owned channels but not in paid). And influencer marketing. We’ve also seen platforms open up like Sirius / xm.
Until Marijuana is legalized nationally, we will have to slog through state level laws and it seems that most channels are going to lean on the side of conservative self regulation, but CBD brands should take advantage of new platforms opening up when there are limited options available.

4 年Hey Dylan Conroy I know this is an old post, but if you're willing, I'd love to connect and learn more about Snapchat ads being used for CBD. I've read conflicting pieces and just trying to nail down what really "is" and "isn't" allowed. Let me know!

4 年We actually specialize in CBD and marijuana marketing online, so when snapchat opened up I was super excited I no longer had to go through loopholes haha

5 年That’s a pretty big deal. Small pool of advertisers for now.
