Snap Back

Sometimes, we know it was a mistake. Perhaps, it needs more costs to get back to the prior situation. It hurts a lot. However, it doesn't matter how much the cost is; if we know it was a wrong decision, we need to be brave enough to confess and snap back.

Ikea is one of the smartest businesses in marketing and brand strategies. From its big kids' play room to its Swedish restaurants with simple fish and veggies receipts are some of its unique savvy ideas for captivating customers to have fun with their shopping.

My family and I changed our mind when passing by Ikea to go to a restaurant last Saturday. Haven't had Ikea's salmon meal for a while was a good reason to visit this furniture chain store.

Despite other usual weekends, we could find a convenient parking space very quickly. Also, some area of the restaurant was closed and I thought that could be related to a renovation. However, there wasn't anyone waiting in the lines in both sides of its buffet, and I was supper happy for not waiting long to have our meal. When we asked for our usual order, some salmon fillet dressed up with vegetables and a mac&cheese dish for my kid, the waiter told us that they have a new menu and those dishes were not served anymore. Waiting in that place with my family to discuss about other options revealed that we were not the only ones rejecting their menu.

I hope this was a pilot for this new menu, and they could come back soon to their normal situations. However, they might have seen the huge negative results in this free-fall situation even with implementation of different marketing campaigns like Swe-dish Thursdays.
