In front of the Giza Pyramid in southwestern Cairo, the famous Sphinx, on the top of Pharaoh's head, on the walls of Egyptian monuments, on the temples of Abu Simbel and Luxor, can almost see the image of a snake with its head standing up. Snakes play an important role in Egyptian culture.

In mythology, it is omnipresent and has infinite power. Among the Egyptian gods, snakes are one of the most popular animal images, such as the giant snake Apep, the cobra goddess Wadjet (Wagit), and so on.

In the secular world, it symbolizes power and becomes the protector of Pharaoh's scepter and crown. In life, the serpent god blessed the water and land on which Egypt depended for its survival.
