What is a Snag Inspection or Snagging??

Snagging is a thorough, detailed audit of your newly built apartment or villa by a professional inspection engineer. A snag inspection identifies hidden defects that may cut short the happiness that you will experience as you set foot your new home as unidentified and unresolved pre-handover damages and defects come with issues that may surely turn your experience the other way around as weeks and months pass.??

How Necessary is it to Snag My Property??

Now that real estate development in Dubai has started to get busy again mid-pandemic last year and while beating deadlines and reducing construction delays become a major identifier for a so-called better investment opportunity, a snag inspection has never been necessary than now. When builders are under pressure to meeting a deadline, human nature will suggest the slightest of defects and damages.?

What will a Snag Inspection identify in my brand new property??

  1. A snag inspection will classify as to whether an element of your property is in its worst condition, below standard, good standard or at its best condition.?
  2. A snag inspection will identify an incomplete or a non-identical element in your property as per unit specifications.?
  3. A snag inspection will determine missing elements in your property as per unit specifications.?

Still images are utilized to show the damages and defects identified by the procedure to demand for repairs and replacements. A comprehensive snagging report enlists all damages and defects, collectively known as snags, found in your property that you may need your property developer to repair and replace prior to signing your handover agreement.?

Signing the agreement would mean that you are receiving your property in good condition and that whatever damages and defects incurred after your warranty period may have to be shouldered by you, the owner.?
