Edmonton Tops the List! Looks like our timing was pretty good. Just last week, we were filming a fun zombie film project in the Road 55 studio with the NAIT Digital media cinematography students. It's for their capstone project and it was so much fun. Who would have known that we'd then see an article come out saying that Edmonton was at the top of the list for surviving the zombie apocalypse. Lots of great hiding spots apparently. What city do you think was at the bottom of the list?

Ready for another app? Instagram's co-founders have launched Artifact, a personalized news reader app that uses machine learning to curate articles for users. It also includes social elements for discussing news with friends. While similar to other news reading apps, the founders believe advances in machine learning will give Artifact an edge. With their track record for success, it's worth keeping an eye on this new venture.

Pope in the Puffer Jacket. This recent story suggests that many things are coming our way that will require us to take a pause and reflect. A lot of people thought these photos were real. What exactly am I seeing? Is it the real deal? Who shared it and from where? Lots of questions. Like where can I get an awesome coat like the Pope has?!?

DID YOU KNOW?!?The term?5X5?(pronounced Five?By?Five) is rooted?in?the communications within military forces through WWII to mean:

“I understand you perfectly.”

The first number represented the Signal Strength of a radio communication, and the second number represented the signal clarity on a scale from 1-5?— 1 being the worst;?5?being the best. Therefore?5?x?5?means the signal has excellent strength and perfect clarity – the most understandable signal possible. Five?by?five is the predecessor to the term?“Loud and Clear”?It also found its way into verbal slang, meaning “everything is good” or “everybody is well/good”.

It would be great if you could think of someone you know who would enjoy this newsletter. If you do, please share it with them!
