Smooth waters never made a skilled sailor

Today is July 25th. The 25th day of our 31 days of July challenge where we learn a new skill or habit each day for a better life.
Last night was windy!
Like really windy!
The perfect time to grab a sail and catamaran and hop on the water.
The wind was a constant 20-30 mph with gusts up to 35.
In the grand scheme of things, not to bad, but for sailing something super small and with me not being a great counter weight, very windy!
But this acts as an incredible opportunity.
If the wind was mild and the water was smooth, I'd never improve my skills.
I'd never have anything to compare to.
I'd never be able to grow.
Only when going into rougher waters do we improve.
This goes for anything in life.
If we never take a challenge head on...
If we never put ourselves in a somewhat uncomfortable or new situation...
We never grow!
So today's lesson is simple.
Search out those situations that help you grow.
You shouldn't put yourself in danger, ever.
Just increase the level of difficulty in whatever you're doing if you want to get better at it!
Just as Franklin D. Roosevelt said, "a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor", we too, must take the challenge head on.
If you're ready to take the plunge and learn something new, grab a time on my calendar below and we'll talk through your financial goals and build a data-driven plan so you can find your true financial success.
