Smog Alert II

???????????Millions of individuals across the Midwest, East Coast and West Coast remain impacted by wildfires while Metropolitan Atlanta and Northwest Georgia continues to experience a heatwave. According to Research conducted in the Providence of Jiangsu China, individuals in areas with high pollution levels and hot temperatures have an increased risk of heart attacks. The study also found a correlation between extremely low temperatures and heart attacks. Over 200,000 individuals from 2015 to 2020 that experienced heart attacks were observed. Pollution levels above 37.6 micrograms per cubic meter for for days or longer attributed to an increase in heart attacks. The research concluded that 2.8% of heart attacks resulted from extreme high or low temperatures. The 10 countries with the worst air pollutants are: Chad, Iraq, Pakistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Kuwait, India, Egypt and Tajikistan. The vulnerable population should remain indoors during extreme temperatures and wear masks. Variances in temperatures can increase Covid. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has developed an Office of Long Covid Research. Over 23 million individuals are still experiencing Covid symptoms. An air purifier can reduce the exposure to pollutants.

Summary

???????????Minimize the hours spent outdoors if you are in the Midwest, East Cost areas impacted by the Canadian wildfires or Metropolitan Atlanta or Northwest Georgia experiencing heatwaves. It is critical to adapt to the changes in temperatures to remain healthy.
