The whole Smith Myers team extends a warm welcome to Ewan MacDonald, our newly appointed Training Team Manager.

“With over 34 years of Signals Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Counter-IED Electronic Countermeasures experience, Ewan adds tremendous breadth and depth to our Training and Product Development Team.” said Steve Ayres, Smith Myers Business Development Manager. “I have known Ewan professionally and personally for over 30 years and I am looking forward to working with him again.”

Starting his career in the British Army in 1988, Ewan had a full and varied range of posts as an operator, trainer, training course designer, manager and policy maker. His outstanding military service being underlined by him reaching the esteemed rank of Warrant Officer Class 1.

“I am looking forward to fully integrating into the close knit team at Smith Myers” said Ewan. “And being fully involved in the training and product development of unique and award winning capabilities such as ARTEMIS, is very exciting.”

Since leaving the military in 2011 Ewan has brought his vast operational and training experience to industry in a number of Training Management roles in the UK and overseas.
