Smiley Charity Film Awards – enter now to promote your film for free

Calling all Charity Film Marketers and Makers

Every year over 400 charities of all shapes and sizes, representing all sorts of causes around the UK take part in the Smiley Charity Film Awards. The Awards campaign helps the charities drive more views of the videos, engage with their communities and generate positive media coverage.

Recognised by both BFI (British Film Institute) and IMDb, the awards are completely free of charge for charities to enter and participate in, including attendance by the finalists at the red-carpet Awards Evening at ODEON Luxe Leicester Square.

The average charity taking part in the awards campaign more than doubles its existing video views plus also drives donations and conversations.

The Awards are open to all Charities and Community Interest Companies registered in the UK and are segmented by income, so you are competing against organisations of similar size.

The Awards are open for entry until 14th November.

Here’s what you need to enter

• YouTube or Vimeo link for your video (the film must have been broadcast for the first time between 1st September 2021 and 14th November 2022).
• Charity twitter, Facebook, tiktok and Instagram accounts.
• Make sure you know what your charity’s annual turnover is so that you can pick the correct Charity Commission turnover band category. This step is essential, you cannot enter without it.
