SMILES THAT MAKE YOU CRY

Sometimes, I think I am failing.

I mean, I really get down about it, and worry about those families that can't break free from impossible life circumstances

Then SWACK- the world will hand me a win.

I cry at every WIN.

This WIN came all the way from Chicago, on a bus, to have lunch with me, and tell me that she was indeed thriving and ready to grow even further.

We all have that student, mentee, friend, that we felt like the magic never worked on, or that is was not enough, and you feel a pang of OUCH.

I review those lives in my mind when I am still. Reviewing the meaning of the work that I do in the world. Somethings I do for money and SO MANY MORE things I do for love.

Love is a better business plan. Love is why I have gotten to witness firsthand so many unbelievable stories in the world. Love takes courage and it also makes you feel like a failure when it blows up.

Buy you gotta take the leap.

This is a mother that took the leap to leave everything and everyone, pack up her 4 kids, stay isolated to hear her own mind, get into therapy, and do the internal work she needed to. For 15 months straight.

Then I got a little lext on my phone.

YOU BUSY?

I text back.

NO.

Want to have lunch next week I have good news.

That's when I toss out the texting and just call.

Yes, yes I do want to have lunch.

AND, I want to watch you tell me a story that makes me smile and cry.

So today's smile is for YOU and thanking you for all the times that you believed in my work, and the things that I am creating into the world. Every life we set on a better track gives every family a new dimension of SHINE.
