The Smile That Grew From A Scar

Can a scar grow into a smile? I never thought so—until mine did.

There's a story behind every smile.

Not the polite ones we flash in meetings or the ones we wear in family photos. I'm talking about the smiles that are born from pain—the ones that almost never happen.

A few years ago, I found myself broken—shattered, really. It wasn't the kind of break others could see. No cast, no bandages. But the cracks ran deep within my mind. I'd smile for everyone, and no one saw what was hiding behind it.

The cracks were there, beneath every smile I wore. Until one day, I saw through the facade. Staring into the mirror, I realized I wasn't fooling myself anymore. The pain wasn't something to cover up. It was something to build on. Not a wall to hide behind, but a foundation to grow from.

That scar, the one they told me would fade, became the soil for something greater. From it, a smile grew—a smile that wasn't about perfection, but about survival.

And that's what I want to share with you today.

The most powerful smiles aren't the ones that come from being unscathed. They are born from the battle we fight, from the moments you almost gave up—but I didn't. From those scars, whether visible or not.

For those who know, the most beautiful smile you'll ever wear is the one that follows a storm.

So if you're reading this, and your smile feels fragile, know this: It's okay. Your scars are not signs of weakness—they are seeds for something beautiful. Every crack, every scar is a mark of resilience, not defeat. You're not hiding behind a mask. You're growing.

When you see me smile today, understand—it's not because I've never been sad. It's because I've learnt that every scar has the potential to bloom. The smile I wear today isn't a shield—it's a garden, born from what almost broke me.

And that, my friend, is something you can never fake.

So, what about your smile? What's it growing from? If it's a scar, wear it proudly. Let it bloom.

until next time,

#smilealways

The smile that rolled deep down from my heart was profound that I took just few minutes to reflect and understood that it’s indeed miraculous…thanks for this too
