SMILE 3

SMILE 3

I love Linkedin because it provides me with the first place I look when reviewing candidates for a position or someone who wants to do business with us. The first place I look is at the person's photo. It is the opportunity to make a good first impression.

Think of your Linkedin profile as your face when you go to a networking event. Your face is the first thing anyone looks at. I ask myself, "Is this someone that I want to chat with?" If someone is wearing a dour and overly serious expression the likelihood of a positive and interesting conversation diminishes. If someone looks professional and smiles that is attractive.

Anyone without a profile photo is assumed to be suspicious. That of course, goes for a lack of background. After all the world is full of con people.

Selfies quite often are of poor quality and photos that are poorly cropped with someone's arm draped over you send an unprofessional message. After all if you are meeting someone in person for business would you do so with someone's arm draped over you.

The point of all of this is smile you have nothing lose!
