MOD Engagement Day at Abbey Wood - 14th June 2023
The Society of Maritime Industries is supporting a Ministry of Defence supplier engagement event to be held at the MOD’s Abbey Wood site on Friday 14 June.? The event will offer mid-tier and SME suppliers an opportunity to meet with MOD experts to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing UK defence around key capability areas including munitions and uncrewed systems.? This half-day event will offer an opportunity for participants to hear directly from Andrew Forzani, the MOD’s Director General Commercial, and participate in several workshop sessions.?

The Seafarers’ Charity is honoured to announce that His Majesty King Charles III has become its new Patron, succeeding Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This announcement was made today by Paul Butterworth, Chair of Trustees, at the charity’s Annual Meeting held at the prestigious Fishmongers’ Hall in London.
Smart Port Challenge 2024: Registration now open
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and NUS Enterprise, the entrepreneurial arm of the National University of Singapore (NUS), launched the? Smart Port Challenge (SPC) 2024 today.
The annual event to attract start-ups with innovative technology-driven solutions to help address the industry’s key challenges,? was held during the InnovFest x Elevating Founders 2024, the official start-up event of Asia Tech x Singapore.

Sea Asia 2025: UK Pavilion Exhibition Pod Offer?
After successfully organising a sold-out UK Pavilion at Sea Asia 2023, SMI will once again be organising and managing a UK Pavilion at?Sea Asia 2025.?
In addition to the exhibition stand offer and in response to positive feedback, we have also made a provision for a number of meet and greet pods within the UK Pavilion.
An affordable alternative, a ‘Meet and Greet’ Pod allows companies to exhibit in a shared space in the UK Pavilion at a reduced rate.
Each Pod comes with:
1 x lockable cupboard, 1x stool, 1 x electrical power outlet, spotlight, graphic printing, shared use of brochure racks and access to meeting tables and chairs.
Full details of the Sea Asia 2025 UK Pavilion offer can now be found on our website. Booking quickly is of prime importance as it is normally impossible to increase our space allocation, the show will be sold out and last year's UK Pavilion allocation was reserved quickly.?

Nor-Shipping 2025, the 60th in the event's history,? returns to Nova Spektrum, Lillestr?m, Norway from 2nd-6th June 2025.
The Society of Maritime Industries is organising and managing the UK group of exhibitors in a dedicated high-traffic space in Hall D.
We will continue using the popular open stand design that has been successfully employed for UK Pavilions over the years. This approach encourages better visitor flow between stands and enhances visibility from all directions.? The UK Pavilion will provide space for stands and more?affordable?'Meet & Greet' Pod?reservations.
