The Crown Estate launches £50million marine supply chain accelerator fund

In order to deliver the offshore wind capacity needed to support our energy security and net zero goals, the UK needs to develop and invest to build a thriving domestic supply chain for offshore wind.???

We have established a £ 50 million Supply Chain Accelerator fund to help catalyse UK supply chain capacity and capability for offshore wind.

The application process opens formally in mid-June and closes at the end of July. Successful projects will be announced from October 2024 following assessment of applications, negotiation of funding agreements and necessary approvals.

Ecomar Propulsion and Shoreham Port collaborate on electric workboat trial


Ecomar Propulsion and Shoreham Port are at the forefront of adapting clean technology for the marine environment. The partners have announced a 3 year operation to test a 30 year old recycled, battery-powered boat. The partnership aims to demonstrate how inland waterways and ports can benefit from Ecomar Propulsion’s zero-emission motors.

Wescom Group’s new sMRT V300 Class M Man Overboard emergency distress beacon is now available worldwide.? Its first public viewing will be at the Navalia Ship Building Exhibition in Vigo, taking place May 21-23 (stand G96).

The sMRT V300 is the latest in the new series of emergency distress beacons from Wescom Group.? A commercial-grade man-overboard device, the sMRT V300 offers an extended signalling range to enhance localised man-overboard alerting, locating and recovery.

SMI Conference 2024

#ICYMI The SMI Conference 2024 speaker programme is now live on our website. We're pleased to once again be collaborating with the National Shipbuilding Office who will deliver session one on day one of our two-day event.?

On the 10th-11th September 2024, the SMI Conference 2024 will cover key topics of interest for those working in the maritime industry - particularly exploring the challenges and opportunities in enabling decarbonisation, autonomy and digitalisation.? Our meet and greet exhibitions area will be open throughout, encouraging ample opportunity for networking.?

The SMI Conference Gala Dinner and Reception will take place in the Atrium at Millennium Point from 7pm on Tuesday 10th September 2024.


Posidonia 2024: UK Pavilion Welcome Reception

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT), in partnership with SMI, will be joined by UK businesses, international partners and other guests to celebrate the return of the UK Pavilion at Posidonia 2024 and the opportunities to showcase UK maritime excellence.

The UK Pavilion Networking Reception will take place on Wednesday 5th June 2024, from 14:30-16:30 at Stand 1.221 in Hall 1.?
