After graduating from Smeal in 2015, Sagar started working as a consultant for Deloitte and remained there for three years. While at Deloitte, he was promoted to Senior Consultant, traveled over 130 weeks for 8 different projects and received 6 recognition awards. He left the traveling lifestyle and shifted to industry as a Finance Manager for Comcast, focused on operational improvement in their commercial business in Atlanta. He then joined Samsung Electronics America in Dallas as a Strategy & Innovation Manager. At Samsung, Sagar drove strategic initiatives that support management objectives in alignment with customer goals and global HQ by utilizing supply chain best practices and strategic analytics to propose and implement innovative enhancements across the business. This past month, Sagar left Samsung to focus on IndiTwist Foods and is also attending Columbia University in the City of New York, working towards obtaining his Master of Science in Human Capital Management. Sagar is excited for making a pivot in his career and the opportunities ahead. Outside of his professional career, Sagar remains very active with his Fraternity, Delta Sigma Iota, which was founded at Penn State. He has been on their National Office for several years and also provides various professional development coaching to students and young adults. As an entrepreneur and member of IndiTwist Foods, he and his team are focused on providing convenient, healthy, and ready-to-eat Indian food options to people of all ages, while using his supply chain background. Remember to follow IndiTwist Foods on LinkedIn and Instagram and visit their website for more information.
Sagar's Career Tip: Take advantage of resources to refine your professional soft skills, earlier rather than later! From online courses to free events to programming offered by your schools' career services! These skills are critical, if not more important, than the technical knowledge you accumulate in the first few years after graduating.
